Award-winning designer Karen Sealy is equally at ease in a hardhat or heels. Raised on construction sites and formally educated in psychology, business, and interior design, Karen brings a specialized strategic lens to every project—connecting design, construction, and human behaviour in ways few professionals can.

For more than 25 years, Karen has helped homeowners navigate renovations, custom homes, additions, and interior transformations with confidence. She understands that great design is about far more than creating beautiful spaces.
It is about understanding how people live, how families function, and how homes can better support everyday life.Karen’s unique combination of design expertise, construction knowledge, and behavioural insight allows her to solve problems others often overlook—creating homes that are not only beautiful, but highly functional, deeply personal, and built to support the way her clients truly live.
Karen is the owner of Sealy Design and is widely recognized as the winner of HGTV’s Designer Superstar Challenge and the creator, designer, and host of HGTV’s Summer Home. For more than two decades, she was a trusted design expert on Cityline and has been featured in The New York Times, Elle Decor, Style at Home, House & Home and numerous national and international media outlets.
Whether she is reviewing construction drawings, collaborating with trades, planning a renovation, or refining the finishing details, Karen approaches every project with the same philosophy:

ANDREA
Senior Designer
Our Senior Designer oversees the day-to-day activities of our projects and is the liaison between the entire project team, the client, and the trades. Fun Fact: “I have been teaching sailing for over 14 years, and I have 48 plants in my condo. I guess you could say I’m one with nature?”
DIANNE
Office Manager
Our office manager is our pricing and procurement whiz, supporting our interior designers so they can focus on design. Her organizational skills, dogged pursuit of details and intuitive decision-making helps keep all the moving pieces of a project together while she keeps everything on track. Having worked in that position for over two decades, Dianne knows the importance of timelines and prioritizing her daily responsibilities. You can expect an exciting-yet-orderly process borne from nearly three decades of experience with best practices in the interior design industry. Fun fact about me – I understand commitment, prime example – I have been married over 40 years to the same person.
PRIYAL
Intermediate Designer
Our intermediate designer works closely with our senior designer to develop design concepts, creating detailed plans & presentations in accordance with the client’s requirements. She maintains co-ordination within our team from initial design phase to final installation & styling of space. Fun Fact: “I always aspired to be lawyer, but the allure of beautifully designed spaces & structures led me to become an Architect/Interior designer, but I still have some persuasive skills like a lawyer”
SRIMATHY
Accounting Manager
Our Accounting Manager dedicated to overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including budget management, procurement, and invoicing. Ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency while collaborating with our team to maintain financial stability. Fun fact: Although my heart initially yearned to become a chef, I’ve found my calling in balancing the books. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll whip up some gourmet dishes using my accounting skills!

Meet our office dog pup: She is the furry ball of joy who turns coffee breaks into tail wagging adventures.
